Sustainability at ERDINGER

ERDINGER is committed to the Bavarian Brewers‘ Association e.V. The four central tasks are representing the interests of the Bavarian brewing industry, promoting Bavarian beer, providing services and advice to its members, and actively engaging in public relations to enhance the image of Bavarian beer and inform consumers about the quality and tradition of Bavarian brewing.

ERDINGER is actively engaged in the German Brewers‘ Association, the Deutscher Brauerbund (DBB). The central tasks of the DBB include representing interests at the national and European levels, promoting fair competition, exchanging knowledge in the areas of agriculture, law, technology, environment, and media & consumers, as well as continuously improving the reputation of German beer. ERDINGER holds the chairmanship of the legal committee. Through this involvement, ERDINGER actively contributes to shaping the framework conditions for the brewing industry and benefits from the network and knowledge transfer at the association level.

ERDINGER is committed to the "Experimental and Teaching Institute for Brewing in Berlin (VLB) e.V." The association‘s purpose is to promote science and professional education in the fields of brewing, the beverage industry, and biotechnology. Key tasks include education & training, research & development, consulting & services, and knowledge transfer. Dr. Stefan Kreisz, Chairman of ERDINGER‘s management, serves as the Chairman of the Technical-Scientific Committee (TWA) at VLB. Additionally, ERDINGER holds the chairmanship of the specialist committee for "Filling, Packaging, and Operational Technology."

ERDINGER is involved in the association Die Freien Brauer. This is an association of 46 medium-sized family breweries in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. The central tasks of the association include the preservation of the art of brewing and the way of life, the promotion of free enterprise and the exchange of experience between the member breweries.

ERDINGER is committed to the Association for the Advancement of Brewing Science (WiFö). The central tasks of the association include promoting research projects related to brewing science and its associated fields, as well as ensuring the high quality of German beers and facilitating the transfer of knowledge between science and practice. Dr. Stefan Kreisz, Chairman of ERDINGER‘s management, has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board since May 2017.

ERDINGER is committed to the Scientific Station of the Breweries in Munich e.V. The central tasks include supporting the research and development of brewing. Through targeted research projects, such as the breeding of high-quality brewing wheat, the association contributes to ensuring and improving beer quality. It promotes the exchange of knowledge and experiences between science and practice by supporting projects and facilitating collaboration among various research institutions.

ERDINGER is a member of the Society for the History of Brewing e.V. (GGB). The central tasks of the association include promoting the history of brewing, collecting and archiving written materials, publishing research findings, and maintaining a specialized library.

ERDINGER is a member of TÜV, an organization that conducts safety inspections. In addition to technical inspections, TÜV audits ERDINGER in energy management and food safety. ERDINGER is certified according to FSSC 22000 for food safety management and ISO 50001 for energy management. This ensures beer quality throughout the supply chain and continuously improves energy efficiency.
